Please read these policies carefully as many have changed from last year.
Registration
You may mail your registration form, registration fee and your first and last month's tuition to:

We will send out a written confirmation of your enrollment.
ENROLL EARLY - classes fill up fast and class size is limited!
Tuition Fees
Tuition rates are for the full season (September-May, including studio holidays), not by the number of classes in the month. Tuition fees are paid monthly.
Tuition Payments
After registration (Paying for September and May lessons and your registration fee), monthly tuition (November-April) must be paid by the 10th of the month. Recital costumes must be paid for by December 15.
Tuition Discounts
Additional students residing in the same household enrolled at an equal or lesser tuition cost will receive a 20% discount.
NSF Payments
NSF will incur a $20 NSF fee which will be added to your account.
Withdrawal From Class
There is a two month minimum for all lessons. One month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue payments. To withdraw a parents must: 1) inform the studio in person , and 2) complete a withdrawal form. All charges will be stopped after the one month notice period.
Rescheduling and Substitution
DSD reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if a regular teacher is ill or is otherwise unable to teach. DSD reserves the right to re-schedule or combine classes.
Refunds
Refunds are only issued when DSD cancels a class due to low enrollment.
Class Transfer/Change
Changing class sections is allowed within one week of registration without a fee (only provided that a class option is open to switch to). There is a $10 charge for changes or cancellations made after the initial registration period (one week after registering).
Attendance
Regular attendance is vital to student progress and group choreography. Please make every effort to attend each class. Students may make up missed classes until April 1. If you miss more than two of the final 8 classes before recital you may be dismissed from participating in the recital routine at the discretion of the teacher.
Communications
At DSD we take great lengths to keep you informed and up to date. Join our DSD e-mail list for monthly e-mails. If you do not have e-mail you may pick up a monthly newsletter at the front desk. Observation
Parents are encouraged to view classes through our viewing windows. Other observation is at the teachers discretion. It is imperative that distractions be kept to a minimum for our dancers therefore parents and other students are not allowed in the studio during class.
Inclement Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, a message will be left on the studio answering machine after 2:00 P.M. regarding the status of classes. Please note that we do not necessarily follow the school closings as roads are often cleared by the time studio classes begin. However, if schools are closed ALL morning and afternoon classes during school hours will be canceled. Any canceled classes can be made up on your own time from our regular schedule of classes. In the event that there is not a make-up class available, a replacement class will be scheduled.
Costume Orders
All classes have a costume for each style of dance unless otherwise noted. Costume payments are due IN FULL by December 15th. Costumes are ordered over Christmas break and costumes will not be ordered unless costume is paid in full. There are no returns on costumes once the order has been placed.
